Dr. Newhouse

Dr. Nancy Newhouse grew up in Independence, MO, and graduated from Truman High School. Subsequently, she attended Duke University and the University of Missouri at Columbia. Dr. Newhouse received her dental training at the University of Missouri at Kansas City, School of Dentistry and her Specialty training at the University of Texas Health Science Center - San Antonio.

Dr. Newhouse earned both a Certificate in Periodontics (1985) and a Masters Degree in Periodontics (1986) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

In 1988, Dr. Newhouse earned her Board Certification, becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. In 1986, she became an Assistant Professor of Periodontics at the University of Missouri at Kansas City, School of Dentistry, where she continues to teach on a part-time basis today.

Dr. Newhouse has provided state-of-the-art periodontal care to patients since the opening of her first periodontal office in 1985, in Independence, Missouri, and has placed and maintained dental implants since 1990. She continues today to provide a level of caring attention and expertise to her patients, and to see to their periodontal health and at the same time, monitor the relationship between their periodontal and general systemic health.

Dr. Newhouse is licensed to practice periodontics in both Missouri and Kansas, and holds a sedation permit in Missouri. Dr. Newhouse has been active in professional periodontal organizations on a local, regional and national basis, and is currently the Secretary-Treasurer of the American Academy of Periodontonology.

Jean has been a dental assistant for more than six years. She has been an assistant to Dr. Newhouse for more than four years.
